18 Weeks Old (Nov 23-29, 2025)

Ember is growing like a weed. She is 15 & 3/4 inch tall. At times I forget that she is only four and half months old. With her ears she looks almost as tall as Phoenix. All our pups’ ears started changing around 6 months so be interesting to see what hers do. Although the fox look is pretty adorable so we’d be okay with double up ears.

She now can go up and down the front stairs confidently. We are working on the inside stairs, but I think the dark brown colour does make it more difficult.

They have been enjoying playing more and both equally start the wrestling. With our couch being out for repair we have been using our club chairs. Of course if one sheltie is up on the chair with either of us then the other must be too—quite the sheltie pile-on.

Ember has been enjoying her bed but does want it to be close to Phoenix’s nap spot.

Ember is starting to tap the sliding door to go outside when she is in the craft room with me and we continue to work on toilet training.

She is in her shredding phase and loves to rip up cardboard. She especially loves playing with the carboard tubes before shredding them. We suspect that she started teething. Happily, she remains gentle with us.
