6 Months Old (Jan 19, 2026)
So hard to believe that she is already 6 months old but can’t imagine life without her
Names she goes by: Ember, Em-ba, Em-ba Pem-Ba, Monkey and Land Shark
Favorites:
-Brother (being by brother, playing with brother and land sharking him on walks) “Land sharking” is when she pounces and bites his fur
-Shredding cardboard and paper, but especially toilet paper and the bath mat (a right of passage for all shelties of the house of sheltie)
-Being in the middle of the action and around her people
-Having a bone or toy on her dog bed (occasionally using it to nap)
-Licking ears and tugging on my braids
Doesn’t like: Getting my teeth brushed and closed doors
Size: She is now 11.3kg (25lbs). She is very wiggly so hard to get a perfect height on her, but she is now taller than her brother and we think between 17.5-18 inch tall at the shoulder.
Personality: She is very happy, playful, opinionated and cuddly. She does like her enclosure with her door-less crate and will put herself to bed if tired. She is tall enough now that she can just sit beside the tub to complete her lifeguarding duties which she does take seriously.
Trying to get them to stay close together for photos is challenging but they like to photo bomb each other
