15 Weeks Old (Nov 2-8, 2025)

This week we’ve really seen the changes from puppy to juvenile. Her snout and body is lengthening. Her top coat is starting to really come in.

Adorably, she can currently look like she got a shock as her top coat isn’t quite long enough to fully lay down over her undercoat so it sticks straight up through her undercoat.   I’m sure we’ll miss this stage when it’s gone, as she is just so soft.

She remains food motivated but will share a lick bowl or puzzle with Phoenix without issue. Due to the competition, Phoenix is a bit more food interested. She has become more interested in chewing and is likely teething. She is still very gentle with us.

Ember always wants to be in the middle of the action and definitely has FOMO. She is very affectionate. A true cuddle bug and often will nap laying on or beside us.

We have confirmed that she has the sheltie anti-vacuum gene.  The evil Va-Coom as known at our home must be herded and instructions yelled to ensure it does not get out of control and harm the humans.  However, this only applies if her people are handling it.

Recently, she found reflection puppy  in the house’s glass doors. and would very much like to play with the mirror puppy that she has found Luckily, Phoenix will step in and play with her to distract her. Her and Phoenix play often throughout the day.

Happily, Ember is sleeping through the night and potty training is going very well.
